Mini Bag 20mm Plum Slate

Plum slate also known as purple slate is a crushed natural slate from Wales. 20mm Plum slate comprises of purple tones with the occasional hint of blue/grey in varying slate sizes around 20mm. When dry, plum slate offers a subtle purple garden shade but when wet, the same product offers a dark, rich purple tone. The slate pieces have a naturally smooth surface and are flat and angular in shape. Their nature makes them hard wearing, stable underfoot and attractive to the eye. Commonly used in patio edgings, garden borders, rockeries, planters and pathways. Slates utilisation as a mulch to retain / reduce water evaporation whilst enabling water filtration for plant growth is also a positive from a gardeners perspective.
