Bulk Bag Ornamental Bark

Our woodland ornamental bark is a high quality 100% British mixed conifer and spruce bark, dark brown in colour and commonly used for decorative and weed suppresion purposes in gardens. Woodland bark can be used in borders, pots and other soil filled areas. Bark allows water to seep through the voids to hydrate subsoils and plant roots whilst blocking out sunlight to prevent the sprouting of soil weeds. Woodland bark also offers insulating benefits in cold weather, retaining soil heat and protecting plant roots from freezing. Typical chipping sizes range from 8 - 35mm. Other features: Minimal dust fines White wood content no greater than 15% pH range 4.5-5.5 Free from methyl bromide, pathogens, pests and weed seeds Fire-resistant, in accordance with BS 4790:1987, ideal in areas of fire risk Free of all foreign matter Hostile living environment for pests.
