Timber Sleeper Treated Softwood 2400 x 200 x 100mm

Timber softwood railway sleepers have become a cornerstone product for many garden designers and landscapers. The name originates from the timber used on railway lines many years ago. Now they have uses in the world of landscaping. Ideal for the quick construction of garden walls, planters and borders, these chunky lengths of timber make for attractive, natural garden features.

They can be stacked on their side or flat and simply fixed in place using timber sleeper fixings. These timber sleepers are 2400mm in length with a finished size cross section of 195mm x 95mm and treated using a tanalisation process.

Typically our sleepers will be sourced from Irish or Scandinavian sawmills. The preservatives used for these softwood sleepers are applied under high pressure to ensure the treatment penetrates the material and ultimately increases the lifespan of the product.

Please bear in mind that landscaping sleepers are natural timber products and will contain knots and grains that will vary sleeper to sleeper.
