Mini Bag Horticultural Top Soil (25Ltr)

Our mini bags of horticultural top soil are ideal for a variety of landscaping applictions. Top soil is the uppermost layer of ground soil where the soil has a high concentration of organic matter and nutrients - this natural soil composition helps promote plant / root growth. We see top soil used most commonly for the two following applications: 1) For ground preperation prior to lawn turf laying whereby subsoils are levelled and dressed using a layer of topsoil to create a flat nutricious surface for new lawn turf to bind. 2) For the filling and dressing of flower beds and borders.

Although it is not essential, pre-turfing fertiliser can also be added to the topsoil prior to laying or seeding the lawn to further enhance soil fertility. Similarly, top soil quality for planting / flower beds can be enhanced further by the addition of compost or well rotted manure. Our mini bags are suitable to be lifted by hand for easy manoeuvring around the garden.
