Description DPC (Damp Proof Course) is an essential component of any property. The DPC barrier protects the property against moisture rising up from the ground via capillary action. The product is typically rolled out across each skin of blockwork / brickwork at DPC level. Once in place construction of the wall structures can continue above. This plastic barrier then acts as a repellent to any rising moisture. It should be noted that there are also instances where DPC can be used as a barrier to moisture movement in other aspects of construction.
